In this beautiful municipality, it is a pleasure to live. It is a vibrant place with a strong sense of community, where you can also find peace in the many green spaces. Yet, we face many challenges. We must truly work on creating safe, clean, and healthy neighborhoods. Too many people are being left behind!
Here are some projects that are close to my heart or that I want to accomplish in the next six years:
- Establishing a seniors' help desk.
- Ensuring affordable housing and promoting intergenerational living.
- Improving accessibility for people with limited mobility. Currently, sidewalks are often in poor condition, and many restaurants are not wheelchair accessible.
- A teacher for every child in every classroom.
- Homework assistance is absolutely necessary, even for our youth who have chosen Dutch-language education.
- Providing a filled lunchbox or healthy meals for our youth.
