Get swept away on the explosive music of their debut album Hard Drive Error, about the madness of warfare, the homo sapiens influencis and other dudes just doing their own thing. Committed partying!

One May: Celebrate Labour Day with us!

Today we commemorate the struggle for better workers' rights. Together, we celebrate victories in social justice and look ahead to a better Brussels.

Brussels is at a turning point.
Our city has made tremendous progress over the past 20 years, in many areas.
But lately something has been wrong.

Ordinary things seem to have become impossible:
An affordable home,
a teacher in the classroom, a place in a daycare centre,
being able to move around the city safely and freely,
or streets without trash. How hard can that be!?

Brussels must not stand still. We are not leaving anyone behind.
2024 must be the year when we step up the pace again. And tackle what is going wrong.
Taking actions and responsibility, that’s us.

You and no one else will soon choose what the future will look like.
And that choice is very simple.
It is Forward for Brussels.
Or it's backwards.
It's up to you!
Are you up for it? Celebrate with us!

FAQ

Do I have to pay for the festival?

Nee. One May festival is gratis. Je moet geen toegang betalen.

Will there be toilets available?

Yes, there will be free cabin facilities at the Marché aux Porcs.

I have a wheelchair, is the festival accessible for me?

The festival takes place in the public space and is accessible for wheelchairs. A toilet for people with reduced mobility is available.

How do I get there?

The Marché aux Porcs is car-free during the one.may festival. We recommend you come on foot, by bike or by public transport. We will set up a bicycle parking space next to the festival site. The nearest metro stop is Sainte-Catherine. Or you can take bus 89 (Central station-Westland shopping) to the Dansaert stop.

If you do come by car, there are two paying car parks nearby: Q-park Brussels Lepage or Q-park Dansaert.

Can I park my bicycle?

We provide extra space to park your bicycle next to the Marché aux Porcs.

Can I get something to drink and eat at the festival site?

Yes indeed. There is a range of different drinks at democratic prices. Drinks can be paid for with tokens or with a drink card.

We selected two Brussels food trucks to stand on the square: a stall with Asian food (with vegan options) and a chip stall. Pay with food vouchers.

You can buy tokens and drink cards at the counter.

How sustainable is the festival?

We organise this city festival as sustainably as possible.

For example, we work with reusable cups, we encourage people to come by bike, we rent our festival equipment and we give a stage to local artists or associations. We also sell local Brussels products.

Is the festival also for children?

Yes. No childcare is provided, but we have an extensive programme tailored to children. See also the programme.

What measures do you take around safe partying for everyone?

We have a large team of volunteers. You will recognise them by their t-shirt and badge. They walk around the square and keep an eye on things. You can always speak to them.
