10. Sanne Velthof

Ville de Bruxelles

Sanne is in charge of all events & catering activities at an organisation that provides temporary occupation in Brussels heritage, with cultural, solidarity and social projects. Here she can put her long experience in the Brussels catering industry to use for the good cause.

"I want to realise small changes that have a big impact on the daily activities of independent entrepreneurs in our city. I want to work to make the lives of single people financially easier, in a society focused on two-income families."

Maybe I am naive, but I believe that politics needs 'ordinary people' to keep an eye on the ball and really change things. I want to contribute to those changes and make the city more beautiful and liveable for the people of Brussels. I want to help building to make a difference.

Sanne grew up in the suburbs of Brussels and has now been living in the city centre (Saint Catherine) for 15 years. After her studies, she started as an event manager and was responsible for school programming at Cinema Galeries. After 2 years of experience, she founded Cécile and was self-employed for 10 years in the event, catering & hospitality sector. Since July 2023, she has been working at Pali pali as communications manager and since 1 January 2024 at sister company Pali & co where she is managing director responsible for catering and events in all the buildings they use for temporary occupation, where you will find residents with cultural, social and solidarity projects.

My dream for Brussels

An umbrella structure for entrepreneurs in Brussels they can turn to with everything that matters to them and offer help where necessary. I am convinced that small changes make a big impact on everyday entrepreneurship.

I want our city to become liveable for single people, to reside in but also to live in (activities, food, ...) and so to enjoy our beautiful city.
